Pool Construction in San Antonio & the Texas Hill Country

Expertly Engineered Gunite Pool Builds for San Antonio, Boerne, New Braunfels & Beyond

We build custom, steel-reinforced gunite pools with an emphasis on structural integrity, clean plumbing, and predictable timelines. Your project manager provides weekly updates, inspection milestones, and a clear next-step checklist.

The Construction Process

Pool building is complex; our standardized workflow keeps it smooth. Every phase—excavation, hydraulics, steel, gunite, finishes, startup—follows documented quality checks. Expect a typical build window of 10–14 weeks after permits, with weather/complexity caveats.

Layout & Pre-Construction

Final design review, on-site layout marking, timeline expectations, and access plan. We verify utility locates and any HOA/permit conditions before digging.

Excavation & Steel Installation

We excavate to engineered depths and install a rebar grid with proper spacing and chairs for shell strength—critical for Hill Country soils.

Plumbing & Hydraulics

Pressure-tested plumbing, balanced suction/returns, and equipment pad layout for efficient circulation and service access. We spec energy-efficient pumps and LED lighting by default.

Gunite Application

After successful pressure tests, we shoot the gunite shell to engineered thicknesses. Edges, benches, and steps are shaped while curing practices are scheduled.

Tile & Coping

Following initial cure and shell watering, we install tile/coping with expansion joints and movement allowances for long-term durability.

Decking Installation

We form, pour, and finish your deck (travertine, pavers, concrete, etc.), integrating drainage so runoff moves away from structures.

Cleanup & Utility Connections

Site cleanup plus licensed electrical and gas hookups for equipment, automation, and heaters. Final hydraulic/electrical checks precede interior finish.

Pebble Plaster & Pool Filling

Two-day pebble application, acid wash (where applicable), and immediate filling to protect the new surface. We then start equipment and begin initial water balance.
